Autumn in Vermont is like Christmas for photographers.  Trying to judge foliage goodness is almost impossible in this state because our climate is so variable from year to year, even hour to hour!  And so, being slightly impatient as it seems to be coming later this year, I batted my eyes at my dear husband and got him to drive me to Lake Willoughby, one of the most beautiful places to see in Vermont.  And almost 2 hours away.

We had to bring our 5 year old daughter with us (who coincidentally is named Autumn hehehe) and she wasn't feeling great so we heard a lot of "Can we go home yet?"  But she was a trooper.
